A Cruising We Will Go!!!

It's final. I made the last payment for the cruise we are going on in June. We are going to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas. Danessa wanted to go on a cruise instead of having a graduation party so we decided to have one of her friends, Katie, join us. It's actually more for us than her because Brian and I are old and we like to take naps and go to bed early and she will have someone to hang with!! They will have a cabin beside us so they can come and go without waking us up!

VACATION DAY AT WORK

I decided I needed a 4 day weekend so I am taking tomorrow off from work. I don't have anything planned, just hanging out with my family. Danessa went camping at Steve McGlauglin's house with Patti O'day and got back into town last night. She really enjoyed herself. I'm looking forward to spending the evening with her. Brian taped a movie, Trilogy of Terror, that me and him watched Monday night and it's so funny, Danessa and I will watch it tonight! The one thing our family enjoys doing, besides eating!, is watching Sci-fi type B movies and laughing at what happens. Everyone enjoy your Easter and remember the reason for the celebration.

My Sunday School Class

I am so blessed to be able to teach my class. They are the 16 & 17 year olds and they keep me on my toes. I prayed to be able to come up with new and better ways to keep their interest and my prayers keep getting answered. I'm not a person who does a lot of crafts but I've done things like making crowns for them to show they can be Kings and Queens. I've made glasses to go along with a lesson on things Nephi saw while being carried away with the spirit, I gave them invitations inviting them to the Celestrial Kingdom and at Christmas time, I had them act out the birth of Christ. We had a great time. Richard Sorenson was Joseph, Valerie Gardner was Mary, Heather Simmons the Inn Keeper, and Danessa, Erika Alpeter and Ashly Harrah were the wisemen (women)!!! Enjoy the pics.

That song by Stevie Wonder was playing on the radio when Brian took me to the hospital to give birth to Danessa. Everytime I hear it, I think the song was an omen. This picture is one of her senior pictures. She is so busy right now with school and being the assistant stage manager for the play, Beauty and the Beast. Tomorrow is her last day of school before spring break and she is looking forward to the break. I'm looking forward to being able to see her destress a little.

What have I gotten myself into?

Ummm.. Hi. I'm hoping this foray into technology will work for me. My good friend Kelly has a blog and I decided I wanted to do one. I asked my daughter Danessa to help and she said, "If Kelly wanted to jump off of a bridge would you do it?" Where in the world did she get that from?☺ I am close to being an empty nester so my life is pretty sedate. The biggest thing right now is I'm taking spinning classes at the YMCA. A good friend from church who teaches at the Y asked for permission to teach a class for ladies from our church. I did it and loved it. I've gone to 3 classes and the 4th will be tonite. Brian went to the class with me on Monday night but he didn't really enjoy it. Wish me luck!
