Okay, I have to admit I was afraid Danessa's graduation was going to drag on and on. There are a zillion kids in her class and she told me practice lasted 1 1/2 hours and all they did was have some of the kids go through the line like they're receiving their diploma. She even told me to take my crocheting! Well, once again, the day was beautiful. Her graduation was at Veterans Memorial at 7pm. We got there and traffic was good. We found a spot. Got seats and waited. Graduation started at 7 and we were clapping as the graduates were proceeding us out of the hall at 8:15! Only 1 hr and 15 minutes. There were 2 co-valedictorians and they gave wonderful speeches. There were 2 other seniors who gave speeches. They were funny and right on track. Since our family can't celebrate anything without eating, we went and got ice cream afterwards.

Since our family can't celebrate anything without eating, we stopped for ice cream afterwards!

And finally, what she had been waiting to do for 4 years, she burned all of her school papers, folders and whatever else would burn from her 4 years of high school!!

I love that blue on her!! And burning the papers- what a great idea!! I love the ice cream, of course, and the timing of the ceremony couldn't have been better!! Way to go, Danessa!! We are so proud! Our baby is now going off to college, what on earth will we do now?!
Those are great pictures!!
What a great time in her life. Everything has yet to come. How exciting! Ah, to 18 again....
